Sci-fi spin at debt recovery exhibition

Cling on to your money! That was the message from the UK's leading High Court Enforcement agency, Shergroup, at the ICM07 event held in the magnificent Old Billingsgate exhibition centre.

The Essex-based company, which has around 100 staff working as far afield as Leeds, London and Delhi, went for a Star Trek theme for its stand at the exhibition staged by the Institute of Credit Management.

Claire Sandbrook, chief executive of Shergroup, who confesses to being a lifelong fan of the sci-fi hit, said: "We had great fun with our Shertrek stand and we wanted to do something a little different to support the Institute. Of course there was a serious side to our message, because we believe using the skills of credit managers, it is possible to litigate and enforce successfully, and our mission is to get more of the industry comfortable with that theme. "

The exhibition in London also ran alongside a conference for credit professionals including credit managers from the consumer and commercial credit world plus other related industries.
