IAMARP Educational Conference August 5-6 2011 - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA
Hon. James J. Brown
Delegates from across the United States and beyond and speakers from countries across the globe will be heading to the first ever annual law and education conference hosted by IAMARP (The International Association of Money and Asset Recovery Professionals) at the prestigious Campbell University Law School in Raleigh, NC.

This 2-day educational conference is being organised by the Association's educational committee, and is being developed in conjunction with members of the judiciary, lawyers and other leading professionals in the area of international asset recovery from around the globe, most of whom are authors of leading professional textbooks on enforcement law as well as other literary works.

The conference is particularly designed to appeal to a broad cross-section of enforcement and recovery professionals at various stages of their careers, and will bring together international collective talents from the bench, from private practice, from government agencies and international companies, and have them teach and accelerate ideas at conferences and social gatherings, thereby facilitating networking opportunities and allowing delegates to collectively pool brainpower and benefit from their experience.

IAMARP is itself an association of professionals from various industries, including legal, banking, accounting, education and others, established for the purpose of encouraging international contact to meet the professional, educational and leadership needs of its members; to increase the awareness of asset collection and recovery methods in the business and legal community; to help prevent dissipation and usurpation of unlawfully transferred assets; and to disseminate education on how to prevent such transfers and how to recover any such assets that have been illegally transferred in this way.

One of the chief aims of IAMARP, under the charismatic leadership of its founding President, the Hon. James J. Brown, is to educate law students about this process and to assist them in becoming good citizens of their countries and the international legal community. Although largely US based, IAMARP has contributing members from countries across the world, including Australia, Austria, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Israel, Mexico, New Zealand, South Africa, Spain and the UK.

Amongst those speaking at this year's inaugural conference - to be chaired by Gary Clarke of IAMARP's education committee - will be Shergroup CEO Claire Sandbrook, who will be lecturing delegates on forthcoming changes to the system of enforcing judgments in England and Wales and on current issues regarding process serving and remedies.

Claire said: 'This conference presents a wonderful opportunity for me to fly the flag abroad for enforcement services in England and Wales, and I am delighted not only for myself but for the reputation of Shergroup that I have been asked to address such an august gathering of legal minds from across the world'.
