How long do I have to pursue my debt?
You have 6 years to pursue your debt.

Legislation under The Limitation Act 1980 prevents a creditor from issuing a claim in the court after 6 years from the date of the debt or invoice.

After 6 years a debt becomes “statute barred” and the only way to collect on it is to make contact with your debtor and negotiate payment. We can organise this for you – just tell us about your debt and we can advise on your options.
